IMO 8k and above is too blue...almost borderline, if not, rice. From what I've always read, the more blue light you have the less visibility anyway. It's the pure white light that gives you the awesome "daylight at night" visibility. So I think I would go a little lower with something like 4300k-6000k. Good luck with whatever you decide.

It is probably purple but I think your wasting your time going to that high of a temperature. The lower in K temp you go, the more lumens of light that are put out by the lamp. Many oem HID setups typically use 4100 - 4300k just fyi. I have always like the 6K kits because they give you white/bluish output which looks nice and gives a decent amount of light. Look into a Kaixen 6000k kit. I chose the 6.5k kit for the slightly purple color which looks classy in my opinion. Good luck.

going to high on the °k is just for showrooms, you wont get better visibility at nigth, mines are 5600°k and when you turn them on, it looks kind of blue and then white!!!

i wouldn'd go more than 7000°k

Im running an 8000k kit and the light output is awesome. Nice blue tint when looking at it from outside, but the light they emit is a bright white. I wouldnt go higher than 8000k and I wouldnt go lower because the slight blue tint is what I wanted. Look at any of the posts by LS1_SS. Thats my car in his sig. You can really see the blue tint from that angle.

I have an 8000K setup with projectors and I would say that the lumen output is only a touch better than stock. If you are upgrading because you want better light out put then stay in the 4000-6000K range. And also get projectors if you are doing an HID setup it makes all the difference in the world for both you and your fellow drivers.

8000K is the purest blue, 10000K starts to get into purple.
