Default $10 SLP grill, need help

Ok like the title says i picked this up for 10 bucks, despite what the pictures look like it's actually in really good shape. Suffering from a little bit of paint chippage in one spot, and those two holes in the middle. My questions are
1.) How/can i fill those holes?
2.) What should i do about the paint? leave it or sand it all down and try to paint it or have it done somewhere. I want to retain that original glossy shine!

since it was only 10 bucks, I would try to bondo/sand/sand some more and then paint, similiar to the berger panel steps.

Don't Bondo it, it will break and flake off... You need a poly-urethane filler... I'm not a body guy so I can't tell you specifics... Check this site out:

Is this a poly urethane filler like Demonbird was referring to?....and as far as filling it what do you guys think would be a good backing behind the filler?

I posted this up on this site and someone suggested this...

Reason for the backing plate is so the filler will have something to rest against.

As for the paint I would scuff it up real good 320 grit or so and reprime the whold grille since you're going to have to prime where you patched the holes anyhow. Then lay your base and clear. If you send it out, expect your bargain find to turn into the cost of a brand new SLP grille.

What do you guys think, i can find someone to paint it cheap so i'm not worried about it being as much as a new one.

Bryan's a good guy, and he's right. He's done some pretty cool paint work on the interior of his car for a reference.

Sounds like you've got the plan all laid out for you.

10 bucks for a $250+ grille is still one hell of a deal even if u have to dump an extra 20 bucks to make it look like new...ive been wanting to buy one which i eventually will (or ill follow parbreaks writeup on painting plastic and paint the stocker)...

be sure to post up an after pic and what you did to fill in those holes

Deffentially not $350, there was one for $200 shipped on ebay last week. If you can clean it up and fill those holes in, then you may have a nice grill
