Default Bubbled Paint

Any recommendations for a body filler that can bond to fiberglass and handle engine heat? I have a fiberglass shaker scoop that I need to repair, but the paint (PlastiCoat of DupliColor) over the Bondo body filler I used is bubbling. The non-Bondo'd areas of the scoop are fine.

Strange that a scoop would get that hot to bubble the paint. But you may want to try a product called MetalGlaze form Evercoat. You can get it at Eastwood or any local paint shop. I use it as a feathering or glazing putty on all my fuel rail covers and they have to endure quite a bit of heat. No problems with that.

I am guessing it is the heat. Could me something else I imagine. I'll check into the product you mentioned, thanks!

Did you primer really well over the Bondo areas?

I did primer well, novice here, but it seems that sealer is possibly the issue.
