so it's not recommended to get your t-tops tinted?

so it's not recommended to get your t-tops tinted? i just got my t/a done in 5% all around, and I asked about the t-tops. the guy said he doesn't recommend it because the glass on it is designed to let heat pass through, and with metallic tint, it will trap the heat in the glass and it might crack.

it's certainly a possibility, a few people have had 'em break, my tint supplier doesn't suggest tinting them either, but they also don't suggest tinting windshields for the same reason, and everything i drive has tinted windshields and i've never had a problem....most of my friends cars are all tinted out with windshields too and never a problem....i think it's just another chance to take....
