Blue On Black Ideas, What Do You Think?
I have a black TA, but I've used photos of whatever cars I could find. I plan to smooth out my front plate and had this idea. The blue seems to look best to me. I can have both painted in with a nice metallic blue. What do you guys think?
Big one:
Small one:
Then I could do the rear lettering:
I'm just trying to be different. I could also smooth out my rear letters and then paint in TRANS AM with the same style font. I think that would look great and be original, but it my be too much work. I haven't decided yet.
What are your opinions?

There are also some really cool effects you can give it so it's not a plain solid color.
Here is a blue lace effect:
There is also a marblized effect and a smoky effect that all give the solid color some depth and richness.
Check out the dark blue in this pic:

I've seen quite a few different styles, so I'm sure I can get a unique look to it.

yea that blue is too light...and even if it were a darker blue like the navy, i'd still prefer black with chrome/silver decals or black w/red decals before anything else...just my .02

I always prefer paint over stickers. I'm just not a sticker kind of guy.
I think that shade of blue looks best. I don't know why you guys think it's off or doesn't work with a black car.
I keep going back to this car:
It has a few too many stickers, but overall it looks real good to me. I have a Raptor hood and this car has a Firehawk hood, but they are pretty similar in shape so I think the stripes would look good. I wouldn't use a Firehawk symbol at the front, but I could come up with something that looks cool.
I may have to do what I always do and ignore you guys. Then do what ever I want.

Thanks, I wish I could PS metallic blue instead of plain blue, so you have to use your imagination. Think of how a talented painter could make it look. All the lines and edges would be smooth and sharp. I'm sure some of it would be airbrushed on and then you would have the clear over everything to give it more depth.
Some samples of the blue I'm thinking about are below. I'm normally not a fan of pearls, but it is a possibility in this case. I could get a metallic blue with some kind of added effect like I mentioned above OR I could go without the effect and have a solid blue with some pearl mixed in.
(Fad2blk's car is saved as a GIF which is hard to work with. That's why the lines are jagged. Jpegs are much easier to work with.)
