The $10,000 Car Wash
http://www.dragtimes.com/forums/inde...showtopic=4395
I wonder how long it takes!
I also wonder how much of a profit he makes per car on average considering all the stuff he uses is so expensive.

So, I'd bet he would lose a few customers by doing so.

After I saw the end where he says he goes to people to clean bird crap off their cars, I immediately pictured a light becan with a bird on it (like in Batman) shining on a cloud and he jumps in his car off to clean bird $hit. Hilarious. Whats funnier is that if i were getting paid $10,000 for that, I would do it in a heartbeat.

$10,000? That's a down for a house, another LS1, or a king's vacation!
Man, rich people do have some really different perspectives when it comes to money. Mind-boggling to think of even $100 as chump change. Paying $10k for a car detail is like me paying $1 for someone to wipe my ***.
I can do it myself! But I wouldn't mind being $$$ though!

ok granted that man might be like one of the best detailers in the world...but one thing...
anybody who knows about detailing cars knows...DO NOT CLEAN IN DIRECT SUN!
that **** was out there in the sunlight washing that car...lol granted it didn't really matter but if he's so good...you would've thought he would've thought of that...yah know?

The only thing more retarded than this guy's techniques and products is the people who pay for the ****. I can guarantee you that I can spend a day on one of those cars using the products I have now and it will look just as good as that guy's work. He's charging 10k to clean an already perfect car. I wish when I was growing up my mom paid me to wash the clean dishes. I'd be a f*ckin millionaire too.

It's all relative. Those of us who drive LS1s can afford to fire it up and drive it like it's stolen... a stolen daily driver that is. To us, despite gas prices, it doesn't exactly cost an arm and a leg either.
Even so, walking to work or driving an economical car makes 200% more sense.
It's all relative I guess. People paying $10k for a car wash have to be more than millionaires!

A lot of people look at us funny. Face it, we waste all of our money into our cars for what? Personal satisfaction...
Same concept with people dumping all their money into a car wash, they want it flawless with nothing but the best.
