Cool PICS - 97 T/A that i made over, with my 02 T/A *DUW*

i do the advertising for my dad's dealership on the weekends and he's had a white 97 T/A up there for a few months now. it's a nice car, but we agreed that the car was very bland looking and needed something to push it, so he gave me a couple hundred bucks to spend on it, and I added 25th anniv stripes w/ side overlays, removed black pinstripes on side, removed the side molding, removed rear t/a logo on filler panel, blacked out DRL, side markers, and spoiler light with Niteshade, and then gave it a good detail. I think it came out well.

here's a before and after pic:

and here's a few shots with my car and an '02 Lightning that he also has.

I just added stainless Ram Air emblems on the hood to match the stainless bird up front and stainless Pontiac letters on the rear. i'm fixing to paint the calipers black instead of the red, put 315 BFG KDs on the back (Sumitomos suck) and get some suspension parts put on.

thanks.

i didn't go overboard with the detail; just Tropicare swirlcutter and polish in addition to routine cleanup.

Nice improvement, ...
Should have added the CETA mod on the rear like yours also. And matching rear overlays for the 'Pontiac'.

it has the pontiac letters on the back.

and yes, it would look better with the CETA mod, but I didn't want to work on the car for more than a day.

Looks much better w/ the 25th ann. stripe on there. I've always like the LT1 T/A's, just not as much as the LS1 style. Throw some '98+ taillights on there and some nice 17x9's in chrome and you're DONE!

I really don't know why, but those are some of the best pics I have seen of your car Silver02TA. I like how you removed the TransAm from the bottom of the doors, your car has a real smooth look to, just like it should have came from the factory.

thanks bro. as i was posting them, i was actually thinking they were the worst photos because of the location... but they are the only photos that i've posted so far of the 'new look'.

i grew to dislike the blackbird stripes... so went with the stainless accents opposed to some cheap vinyl. also added are DRL covers to clean things up a bit.

Why don't you just get the LT1 T/A for yourself and that way you would have 2? Good job on turning that car around.

You have such a nice car. And don't even get me started on Lightnings. Almost bought one, but couldn't find one in my price range.
