Black rear valence finish?

Black rear valence finish? My T/A is NBM and I am about to have a shop paint the rear valence black since someone rear ended me. My question is, what finish would look best on a darker color car? I like the gloss but I'm afraid it wont show up such as on this picture:
Now I'm leaning toward the matte black, but what do you guys think? Gloss, semi-gloss, or matte black?

me too, but I'd like to see it on there first which is the problem. Anyone know where I could find pictures of NBM cars with a black valence?
