Default So my step dad bought a Z28

My step dad bought a 4th gen z28 last week.. after owning a 69 and 78. The 69 will now be a show only car, and a the 78 will be a drag car (400 block in the process of being built).

I don't have any pics of the 69.. it's put away for the winter.. but here is the 78. Was at night so not the best pic. The mickey thompsons are off now and it has a fresh set of goodyears.

This is the cars currect specs. Soon the 400 block will be complete though.
-60 over 350 4-bolt main
-chromoshaft 10/10 steel crank
-ross 12:1 free floating pistons
-chevy pink rods
-64 cc dart heads - angle cut .0030 - ported and polished
-.556 .545 ultradine camshaft (solid lifters)
-edelbrock victor jr intake mandifold
-1 7/8" hooker race headers
-turbo 350 /w TCI t-type converter (4500 stall)
-12 bolt rear end /w 5.38 gear
-march pulleys, ATI aluminum balancer
-crane roller rocker arms
-balanced and blueprinted, all gaskets match
-DUI distributor
-dan devinci 750 carborator
-28 1/2 x 10 1/2 mickey tompson racing slicks
-B&M quicksilver shifter

Anyways, back to what the thread is about! I washed it for him and heres what it looks like!

1997 30th anniversary Z28 A4. Only 50,000 miles.

I think its a beautiful car.. just this week he installed his CAI and 3.73 gear, along with a hypertech chip.

He thinks he can take my LS1 once he gets his stall put in.. we'll see about that

Man, you guys are only missing a 3rd Gen and you would have all generations covered in the family! Nice looking cars. Enjoy them!

No room in the driveway for a 3rd gen. He also has a 2004 chevy 3500 dually diesel turbo.. the thing is a HOG..

Cars:
2001 SS (mine)
1997 Z28
1998 Lincon Towncar
2004 Chevy 3500
1978 Z28
1969 SS (in storage)

we need a bigger driveway!! although, i'll be moving out soon... 2 more years of college. Driving an LS1 with 18000 miles on it in college = living with parents .. it's worth it.
