long version
i went to a local audio shop to look at/ get a new headunit and i was talkin to the sales person and asked if he had any headunits that light up red that he could special order cause they didnt have any. he went to check his computer and come to find out he had one in the back he didnt know he had. and i got a hell of a deal on it and it was brand new. it was about 95 bucks cheaper than retail so i took it. i drive by the shop a lot cause its next to the gym i work out at and there is a very nice lookin ws6 that sits there so i guessed he worked there. while the sales person was typin in all the info he asked what i drove and i said "2000 trans am and mentioned that someone that works here drives a very nice one that sits out in the corner of the parking lot" and he replies "yea thats my baby" i was like o nice car man. while my car was beening worked on i guess he went out there to check it out and noticed my arm rest is all messed up(not sure how, but ive been meaning to fix it) and when i went back up there to get my car he told me that he noticed that the arm rest was messed up and he put his extra one on the pass. floor board. (he has all custom interior beside the doors he said) he was like man mine was just goin to sit and collect dust so u can have it. but the one on there now has left duck tape sticky stuff every where and i was wondering how to get that off?

short story
how do i get that duct tape stuff off so i can install a new one.

I pretty sure that 3M makes a solvent, or like a goo gone type of stuff. Just go to local auto store and ask for an adhesive remover. Be careful because some of that stuff is made for metal surfaces. That would prob f up the plastic .

Oooh, you could also sand/prime and paint it. Thats what I did. Some people dont like that look, but my car is black and now so is some of my trim. Painted looks good IMO. My .02

Be a man and use GAS!! That was the only thing that got the glue from tint off my windows. Make sure to use it sparingly. And hit it with some type of armor all when you are done.
