Default hows your air / fuel gauge???

i hooked mine up today.. (its not a wideband)

and the readings are all over the chart. almost like its shutting off, then going back on

ill just be sitting there in my driveway idleing. and it will go from the middle, off to lean the back.

for those of you with the a/f gauge. how is it working for you?

My friend got something like that from autozone and it was pointless. All it did was go back and forth and light up colors. It was actually more of a light show than anything.

Ed Zachary! If the gage is not a Wideband version with the accompanying WB sensor - then all you have is a mobile disco - readings are not accurate and mean absolutely NOTHING.

Should have saved the $$ and put it toward a WB setup such as the Innovate LC-1. Sponsor has been running a special on these that includes a gage for probably a year now...

I used to have one but took it out because it was indeed a light show and only seemed to give info when the throttle was pinned. My next purchase will be a wideband guage setup.

I have one and it works great! It stays right around between the last couple of yellow LEDs and the first few green LEDs. Just get a conversion harness if you want to stop the light show for cheap. I hooked my gauge up to my wideband controller's optional analog output wire. Does that mean I can't see the A/F ratio numbers on my gauge like those fancy shmancy AEM gauges? Yes! But does that mean I care? No! Why? Because my second analog output goes into my HPTuners thingy and THAT'S where A/F is important and it's also the only time I care to know exactly what the A/F ratio is anyway.

Unless it's wideband (which mine is now) It will just be a flippin rainbow effect

Yeah the narrowband ones go back and forth very quickly, like every second.
