Default Quick question RE: clear coat

I wet sanded my center filler panel with 800, 1500, 2000 and now i'm in the process of shooting clear over it before I decal and shoot more clear. The clear i'm using is high temp since I needed it for calipers as well and the instructions say that it takes about 1 hour to dry, 3 before it can be handled. All coats should be applied within an hour otherwise wait 7 days to cure before next coat.

I have 2 light coats and a medium "wet" coat on there now and I'd like to wet sand out a few tiny imperfections but I don't know how long I have to wait based on those instructions. Any input?

Thanks!

Dont ever wetsand paint that isnt fully dry. It sounds like the directions imply that it takes a full week to cure. Even if the paint feels dry to the touch, you can smudge the paint. So wait till that stuff is fully dry through and through.

so you're saying wait a week before attempting to wetsand it? or wait for the three hour drying time. a week sounds long as hell for some rattle can clear.

The directions just give me the idea that it has an incredibly long cure time. I'm just playing it safe according to the directions. You just need to make sure that when you do color sand, that its 100% dry. Depending on your weather, it may be dry in as little as 12 or so hours.
