Painting my intake need advice. Can I use a rattle can to acheive good results and match the body color of my car? My car is pewter colored. Also will the paint stand up to the heat?

I sanded mine smooth and had a body shop paint it. They charged $60 and worth every penny. The paint looks beter than the paint on my car. My advise would be save some money and have it done right the first time...
