SS Hood Hinges I bought a Gm SS hood, will this bolt right up to the z28 hinges, or does the SS hood use different hinge. I talked to the previous owner and we cross referenced the part numbers and they did not match. This made me think, i might need the hinges also. Thank you in advance

I need to know asap, the guy is shipping it tonight, and i need to tell him if i need the hinges or not.

Same hinges, different support struts. The tension is different. Not sure whether the Z28 struts will break the hood but I believe they are different part numbers than the SS hood. I know this because I have a relative who deals in used fbody parts and he always tags Z28 struts and SS struts differently. When I bought my SS hood I changed out the support struts but used the same hinges.

I think I have this problem. I just insatlled a carbon fiber hood(will be painted asap) and the Z28 struts are to strong, the front is lifted about 1/8 of an inch. I need to know if there is a difference to do a proper install.
