I have what you're talking about in my car:

No one sells it, you have to make it but it's REALLY easy...

You get a "switch plate" from the dealer... I used a convertible switch plate out of a Camaro because I used a convertible switch as well for my bottle opener... but you could use a Trans-Am switch plate which would have a traction control switch (which you could use for any momentary device). Either plate you buy you can get from a local dealer for $7-$11... The switch would be extra...

To make a hole in the plate all you have to do is use a 2 1/16" hole saw (it's a cordless drill attachment) to cut a hole for you gauge. You have to be VERY careful because there is JUST BARELY enough room for the gauge... File the hole so it is SLIGHTLY larger so it won't be too tight of a fit or it will eventually crack from stress (as mine has)...

I used a steel plate and cut the 2 1/16" hole. screwed an auto meter angle ring to it and installed it in the same location.

Here's mine. I just used a piece of ABS plastic to make the gauge pod in front of the shifter. I had the main gauge pod in front of the steering wheel covered with black vynil. Both were fairly easy to make.

You could if you were very careful... I've heard rumors of a 1LE plate that was just a plate but not sure if it's true or not...

i'll look into that. thank you again for your help and i really do like your plate best, not knocking the others but yours looks the most factory. if its only like ten bucks i'll just buy a couple and see which one looks best.
