Hmmm... very good idea, just not sure it would look right in the end... May be too light a color for NBM...
Speaking of the color, are you sure that was an OEM hood? Doesn't look like an OEM color from the pics...
It MIGHT be BBM (can't really tell from the pics) and if so that color was only offered one year (1999) and I don't believe they made any SS's in that color (my Camaro White Book isn't showing any at least...)... Was the car it came off of a 1999 SS???
If it is definetly OEM, if the car had original paint (Bright Blue Metallic) and if it was a real SS; what the hell happened to the car that he is selling you the hood because holy crap that was a rare car??? (long gramatically incorrect sentence typed out of excitement
)We had one wrecked Bright Blue Metallic Trans-Am once and were freaked out at it's rarity... Let alone an SS...

It is an OEM SS hood but you are right, it is a custom color. The original color was red as you could see it under the hinge mounts. I'm actually planning on doing the Manta in black with the silver outline just like AnimalSS. I hope he does not mind that I "borrowed" his picture below 
And NO, I'm not changing the car color to match the hood. I love the NBM color and it is staying!!
Oh and the guy who sold me the hood (LS1tech member) decided to go with an Ultra Z hood and that is why he sold it to me. If I told you what I paid for it you'd have a stroke! Let's just say it was a STEAL!
