Default Who has an aftermarket 98-02 SS spoiler?

Main question is how does it fit. Since it seems like you can't find a OEM SS spoiler for under 300 or more most the time. Also, how does the paint look/stick.
If so, which ones are the best fitment??? THANKS!

Dont do it! Even the ones that got lucky and got a ok one if you get by a OEM one you will see where they are messed up!

NOOOOO!! do OEM! no aftermarket fits as good as oem, just spend the extra money so your wont look cheap, trust me, I have been there, dont that, in the end I have a OEM ss spoiler, check my cardomain, it fits great. Even my paint/body guy advised to stay away from after market hoods and spoilers

I picked up an oem that was already the right color, I suggest you shell out the money for a real SS spoiler.

i've heard good things about thespoilercompany on ebay.

I have seen 2 or 3 brands on about 10-20 different cars and they all sucked. OEM is the only way to go!

Peace,
Craig.

Oh, and the only reason the spoiler doesnt fit completely flush with the hatch is because i didnt want to drill holes in my hatch so i just installed these foam things that protect the paint. they dont really bother me that much.

NxLS1496 - Lets see some pics where it matters, along the top on both sides. Show us how good it fits, I've never seen these first hand.

Peace,
Craig.

Ill post the pics, but ill tell you myself it doesnt fit flush. Why? not because its poorly designed or cheap, but because my painter installed the foam padding that came with it. he said it would protect the paint or something along those lines. plus i didnt want to drill my hatch for the center supports. All in all im very pleased with the fitment. one of these days when im not so lazy, ill rip the foam padding off and i guarantee it will fit flush, but for now it doesnt really bother me. Where the hell is demonbird when i need him, he has one of these spoilers and didnt use the padding and his fits great.

see the black padding crap...

more padding...

248 shipped to my door with led 3rd brake light. this one is 10 times better quality than spoilerdepot.com too. id rather deal with the foam padding than pay 500 for a new one or hunt around like crazy for an oem one. i almost bought an oem one off of ebay but it went for 400 and the paint was destroyed. screw that. Im sure oem is a better fit but for the money im happy with my decision. Unless your extremely obsessive i wouldnt worry about the fitment.

honestly i think that aftermarket spoiler looks awesome for being over a $100 cheaper and includes the LED's.

My oem didn't require drilling, all I did was put adhesive foam on the underside of the pillars and let it stick to the hatch, then I did the screws so it would stay stuck and not get pulled off by too much torquing of the screws.
