Ram Air Hood Selection Questions

Ram Air Hood Selection Questions Hey guys, I have a two part question here:
1-I would like either a raptor or slp HO hood, I've done some research and opinions vary about the quality of these hoods, any owners of either have input?
2-Probably a duh/newbie question but i'm looking to do a true ram air setup, would a WS6 lower airbox allow ram air AND and an air box lid or am I just dumb? Also, to my knowledge the raptor hood is ram air out of the box while the slp requires some modification, is that true?
1999 Pewter Formula M6, T-tops, leather
Whisper lid, 3.73 gears, Pro 5.0 short-throw
LS6 intake manifold, Spec stage 2 clutch
Buying parts for the big overhaul...383 power is coming

for starters there is no TRUE "ram air" either hood can make the so called "ram air though". get the taller WS6 airbox (if it will clear) with a lid. jsut pick a lid theyre all the same. then cut uot the baffles in the hood and upt some foam around the opening to seal that thing to the airbox. tada all done
