What % tint on a black F-body?

What % tint on a black F-body? Typical situation, I don't want to go too light and not have it blend well, I don't want to go too dark and have it darker than the car. I was thinking 20% on the rear, 35% on the sides? Would that be enough or would I need 5% or limo?

you should be able to get away with 35% for the most part though, depending on how much the guys in your area care. i think 20 rear/35 sides would look good, and you shouldn't have any problems seeing out at night.

i have or should i said had, 32% all around until the po-po made me take it off.. but whatever you get, get the same tint all around because if you dont youll have 3 shades.. the rear, the doors and the t tops

In Il it depends on the cops you run across. Some might turn there head and look the other way, some might have better things to do then and then there are the one's that have nothing else better to do. I say if your gonna do it, might as well do it big go 2-5%. I went 2% and have no problems with the way it looks. Might be a pain at night on a dark road but worth it IMO.

I have limo on the back and 35% on the sides. One of the first things I do after I get a motor in the car is going limo on the sides also or atleast somewhere betwene 10-20%. I hate when my car is in the distance in the parking lot and you can see straight through it.

I have a SOM T/A with 5% on the T-tops, rear and sides the windshield is tented 30% this is not legal anywhere, but I hate the sun, it kills my vision, so I take a chance when ever I drive it. It looks real good, everyone likes it, I have only been stopped once, and the officer didnt write me a ticket, even though he stoped me because he noticed the windshield was too dark. (GREAT GUY)! He was more concerned with how fast the car was, I was willing to give him the keys, to keep from getting a ticket but like I said he was cool. I try to keep a eye out and roll the windows down when my V1 and I see the police.
