The title explains everything.....so where do you get em' and how much. O and is 8500k the best looking ones or is there a better looking ones?

"better" is subjective.
4100K has the highest lumens output. As the color temp increases, the lumens output decreases. Therefore 4100K has a higher lumens output (thereby brighter) than 8500K. As the color temp increases the light gets blue-er then purple-er,

if you want the HID lights for performance go with something that is OEM like the phillips ballasts and bulbs, with a projector retrofit. This is the proper way to get the best possible light output out of any color HID. As for the best light output the 3000k-5000k is the range where maximum lumens is found. 5000+to 12000k are for looks basically, although you are still getting more light output than a halogen bulb. If you just want to plug and play I'd suggest going with a 6000k and pick it up from LS1_SS (ledgauges.com) if you want the OEM phillips setup go to hidexpert.com or hidplanet.com (non promoting just stating where to find this setup sponsor *****).

Just remember that plug and play kits have a ton of hot spots and light "flaring" everywhere that can blind oncoming traffic. Think about doing a projector retrofit!

OEM is best in terms of quality but it's difficult when talking about a kit. I went with an expensive Kaixen 6500k kit that I am happy with so far. I haven't had any troubles with it but then again I want to wait and see how long these last and if I will have any problems. Only problem is now is that I want to go with some H3's of the same color HID but I am going to have to spend $300 for the kit to make it match the headlights.

there are places out there like hidexpert that sell oem parts with re-based bulbs and you'd be amazed at how they are the same price or cheaper than plug and play kits. hot94 check out nates(ls1_SS) site ledgauges.com im pretty sure he has something. or you could go with hella 90mm projectors that are completely sealed. depends on what you want and how much you want to spend.

I've read that Acura TSX projector housings are one of the best ways to go, and was planning on using them in my HID conversion.

(I prefer projectors for HID instead of reflectors due to the glare that can arise from halogen reflector housings.)

TSX, S2000, E55, and Bosch E46 are pretty much the best for retrofitting. The E46 is the cheapest and smallest which is great for us LT1 guys. The problem is making a housing and sealing them up. THat's what is nice about the Hella projecters but at $170 a piece hella can eat my a$$. I wish I would have saved a little more and got the E46 bi-xenon (hi/low) but I'll be content with my single beam and hid fogs. If that isn't enough light output onto the road then I don't know what is lol.

The Hella 90mm H9 projectors are $60 each for a total of $120 for the pair. Then you can get a H9 HID package for $250. The final total would be $370.

Where did you see Hella projectors for $170 each? Are they the same ones? Hella does make a HID projector combo though, but its $500 per side for $1000 for the pair.
