Default Stock GM SS Hood.. Good Price?

Im thinking about buying a Stock GM SS hood from a ls1 member... Do you think 600 bux is to much for a ss hood? remind you it is stock... they retail 1200+shipping+paint

If it's a real SS hood for that price jump on it as long as there is no damage to the hood.

Sounds like a great deal to me... An aftermarket hood would be $400-$500 plus $400 to paint... So what the hell is the hesitation ?!?!

If its in good shape jump on it. I paid 1500.00 for my OEM GM SS Hood.

I got mine, with no chips or damaged pieces for $550 from a local guy. Oh yeah, and for the love of god, DONT get an aftermarket one, They DO NOT fit as good, you might as well spend the extra hundreds dollars and get a GM OEM one....the qaulity will ALWAYS be better than aftermarket

Sounds fair. There was one here locally that had cracks on the under side of the hood that went for 550. Another guy was trying to get 650 for one that had external cracks at the hinge, don't know if it sold or not

Not a bad deal especially if it's the right color. I paid 400 for my original SS hood but it's a custom color so I need to get it repainted.
