Yes you can the shoulder straps drape over the top of camaro seats. In terms of securing the harness I don't how that works on our cars without a cage.

I had seen a Camaro somewhere that they had cut holes in the seats and put inserts to run the belts through. It may have been in a GMHTP feature. It looked clean and still somewhat stock.

I just hope theyll fit well inside and that they are comfortable. I have a D/D so I didnt wanna get pure race seats only.

Those seats are hideous... Check this place out first http://www.madracingconcepts.com/Seats/seats.htm or do a search for Arizens as a few guys have just gotten those...

To answer the first question... Well a picture is worth a thousand words, and I've seen picture where someone used the plastic bracket/hole thing from a racing seat and had it installed into a factory seat, it looked GREAT! Unfortunately despite searching the web for half an hour I can't find the damn pic

They arent hideous. I saw the summit seats and the other version of the seats I posted that were pleather

these are decent, they have "suede" in the middle and they look nice. Maybe not as nice as the Arizens, but an upgrade from stock IMO.

Im ordering from summit, so this was the best one on summit. the Arizens werent available from them.

There's your pics right there.

And yes, those seats are hideous. They're way too fat and plus that brand is a known ricer brand.

even if you get racing seats... im pretty sure you still have to have at least a cross over harness bar to secure the top belts. See this pic: http://fasttoys.net/shop/product_inf...roducts_id=683

So does anyone know a ballpark estimate of what it costs to have the stock seats modified in that manner?

There is a Upholstery shop near my house that will do that. They charge by the hour which is $75.00. They said each seat would run them 20 hours. That was just for the labor -- Not including the shop supplies they need. There a expensive custom upholstery shop. There is no way I'm paying over $3k for this job. There is shops out there that will do this for a cheaper price. I read someone had theres done for 300.00. I'm not sure if it was for both or for one seat. Either way I'm still looking around for a cheap price. I have allot more Upholstery shops in the area to check. But eventaully I will have these fabricated even if I have to ship the seats out of state to have them done.

Would be more econimical to go with a 5 point cage, because if you are getting a harness, chances are you are going to go faster eventually.
