Make sure the lid is set right, look at the pins to make sure they are seated inside where there supposed to be. A while back when i had work done to the car, when they put the lid back the pins weren't enserted correctly causeing my hood to scratch my lid. Wasn't untill i look it over that i noticed they hadn't placed the lid correctly.
EDIT: I have an slp lid and now i have no problems.

Check the bottom airbox, and make sure (such as if you have a free air mod or a cai) that the air inlets on the bottom of the box were cleanly cut. That was the culprit when my blackwing was hitting the bottom of my hood. I took a razor and trimmed off the excess plastic that was left from the cut-outs, and the air filter was able to sit lower, and the lid was able to secure better and lower.
Hoping this will help.

The radiator shroud needed to be trimmed on the rear under my TSP 85mm. It was sitting up higher and causing a rub. Follow the line of the lid onto the support with a pencil and dremel away!

I have a buddy thats here on LS1TECH (1LSWON) with SLP SS hood and SLP lid and rubbed soo bad under side of the hood is rubbed down to fiberglass and the lid is all fucked up.
OK GUYS EASY FIX!!!! Get thin foam tape, see where it hits your hood and put the tape on your hood. You never see the tape and no more rubbing issues, well where paint removed from hood and lid all marked up. Previous damage still there but stops anymore.
Peace,
Craig.

I took some material out from the radiator shroud that is directly under the neck of the lid. That allowed it to sit down better, and stopped any rubbing that I've ever had with lids on my SS hood. If done properly, you won't notice that the material has been removed unless you are really looking for it.
