Default LED's

I'm currently working on changing all of the interior lights to LED's and have read lots of articles on here about bulbs and such, but I have a few questions still. For the HVAC controls and headlight ****, are there any other LED's that are brighter?? For the HVAC controls I used #74 blue bulbs, and for the headlight **** I used 5mm blue LED's w/470ohm resistors. Also, why is it that the passenger side door panel is significantly dimmer than the driver side panel, but they are the same exact #74 blue bulbs?? As for the map and dome lights, what size/number LED's would I need?? I'm fairly pleased with everything so far, just wish they were all a little brighter than they've turned out to be. The foglight and ASR switch are PLENTY bright though.

Not sure about everything else, but you can fit a 194 LED on the HL switch. That's what a lot of people do. No need for a resistor. They already have one:

Your eyes can't focus on pure blue light. For example: look at blue Christmas lights (whole strand) on a house. Noitice how you can't quite focus on them?

Sounds like a bunch of horse **** to me

Blue looks the coolest and I can see and focus on my blue leds the same if not better than the shitty stock filament bulbs.

Just currious i have never had that problem with the blue. I have heard that green and red lights are the easyest to focus, thats why they are the color of the lights in fighter aircraft.

Well it's not like an actual problem that you can notice while driving, so as for the pimp factor with blue leds, I say it's worth it

It is noticable. The stock gauge colors (white, light green, red), are much easier to read. It bothers some more than others though, but everyone will notice it to some degree.

The ones who are calling bs probably don't remember the last time they tryed to focus on it, or just didn't notice that it was blurry.

Or maybe they did it right and actually have bright blue leds?

I can understand if you got just normal LEDs in the cluster because those aren't bright at all, but if you get the right leds (wledx5s or x6s) you'll be able to read it no problem

Unfortunately you can't. They're not the right type of bulb and actually a little bigger because it has 5 separate leds on it:
