im gonna be doing a hardtop to T top conversion on mine. its pretty easy. its a day project.

just have a dremel and lots of cut off wheels at your disposal.

theres write ups on how to do it, search on here for t top conversion.

the T bar is underneath the hardtop, you will need the 2 T tops, center strip, weather stripping, the lock mechanisms (4) a sawzall, and a sander.

Quite a few people have done T-top conversions. I've only seen two targa-tops done though.

Here's some info on the T-top conversion.

The only targa top f-body I have ever seen was the one in the 80`s TV show, Simon and Simon. It was a 3rd gen camaro that was targa topped.

T-top can be done. Targa can be as well, and is cool when finished. However, if you are not experienced with body work, the targa top conversion is something you should let a professional body shop with custom experience do...bring money.

The owner of FX Ceramic Coatings, a sponsor here, had a custom painted Camaro with a targa top a few years ago. I believe it had Ferrari titanium gray paint and he built a new front bumper out of carbon fiber if I recall.

theres a company in florida that does power retractable hardtop convertible c5 z06's. you cant even tell until it fold down. pretty clean. i dont know the name of the company but this summer me and my dad were se4arching for a z06 and we found a 2001 that was $40,000. we asked why it was so expensive and he said it was a rare hardtop convertible zo6. we obviously were curious and he put the top down, the b-pillar lies back and the roof just slides onto it and they both go under the back trunk cover. i didnt buy it cause i want a hardtop. i have a 99 ls1 with t-tops and i have a 96 lt1 with t-tops and i have a 94 hardtop. the hardtop to this day is quieter than both of my other cars.
