The fit was absolutely horrible on the 3 they sent me. I ended up with a Suncoast Creations (which wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good).

I had the ram air hood for my 3rd gen and it was perfect. I think the body shop had to put some extra work into it but they got it.

most aftermarket hoods are going to need professional prep work. although as in #2, Suncoast has been a popular brand here, but I don't think they've had perfect hoods each time either.

just be prepared for some prep

Yeah, I have a Suncoast hood, the main reason why I picked it was because I like the shape of the scoop on the SS hood better since it's more aggressive. And yeah, it did need prep work....all in all it cost me just over 800 dollars to have the hood prepped and painted, it was done at my local dealer though. But they were incapable to get the hood to fit right on my car, but lucky for me, Suncoast Creations is just 60 miles down the road from me, so not only did I save on the shipping costs, I was also able to go back there and have it fitted. They adjusted the hood stoppers on the front, had to shim the hood, had to bring the fenders out, and even had to shim the nose piece so it would line up properly, but now it looks pretty good, not perfect, but good.

I have the ASCD SS hood on my Z the fit and finish are great we had to make some minor adjustments to the hinges (slide them back a little bit) other than that I have had the hood on the car for 6 years with no issues.

I had a SCC's WS6 hood on my 97 TA (actually 5 hoods they all fell apart) the fit, finish sucked.
