BUT....
GM uses a urethane based sealer on all their "leather".
The answer to your question is no, it's not real leather. And all of the extremes many people go to to finely detail their "leather" really aren't usefull. It's actually a waste of time LOL.
You can use any of the store bought stuff, Lexol, Mothers, Meguiars, etc. It won't harm anything, or leave any marks. Just go buy the directions and give them a wipe down.
I wouldn't spend the extra $$$ on zaino, but that's just me.
I use a conditioner by Zep, because thats what we have at the shop. Smells like real leather too.

For my first interior detail, I used Zaino Z-9 (Leather Soft Spray Cleaner) w/ a interior detailing brush, and then Zaino Z-10 (Leather in a Bottle) w/ a rag. I used it on all “leather” and vinyl. Now, since I keep it clean, I just use the Z10. Seems to do a good job, and not too shiny, which I would not like. The best part is the smell. Those who use Z10 know what I am talking about.
