Default Remove, paint, reinstall question...HELP!!!

Does any one know how to remove and resinstall the part in the picture below? I want to have both of them painted, they just get abused in the whether and I thought some black clear coat would be a good thing.

BTW: I would have searched, but I have no idea what to call this thing

i believe it goes by the name "sail pannel". i'm not sure though but i have heard the term "sail pannel cover" in reference to a cover for them so i'm assuming sail pannel.

i have no idea how they are held on either and have thought about the same thing that you are planning. if you ever get it done you should post and let us know how it worked.

Not to worry! It's held on by double sided SUPER strong sticky tape. You can get brand new ones from GM for like $5 each...I did it last year

they come with the tape already attached. I just used retard strength to get the old ones off. In fact I think I broke my old ones while taking them off just to give you an idea of how strong that damn tape is.
