Default Review Meguiars Plastic X I like it a lot:)

Hey guys, I been cleaing up my car and got a bunch of stuff. Anway I picked up some of this today and cleaned my headlights and taillights. Very nice gets a lot of the oxidation off the plastic. Its about 6 bucks a bottle. Anybody else try any?

I think if you haven't it would be worth your time to try.

Yeah its great stuff. I used it on my Magnum when I got some light scratches over the headlights. It took care of it.

I used and suggested it in my walkthrough for polishing the center section of firebird taillights.

I use in on the panel between the birds taillights too. I love it. I used to on my sisters sable. Her headlights were bad, but this really helped.

Bought it to polish headlights after I had sanded them down and it looked good... till you whiped it off. Terrible product for that. Havent used it on just cleanup yet, so cant put an opinion on that. Used Novus 3 Step on the headlights and its by far superior to any plastic polish Ive seen/used. Curious on how it does on other plastics.

Agree to both. I've hand-applied PX and used a PowerBall with a corded drill. PX doesn't work for crap on headlights that need a serious polish. It's just a light polish with a load of oils, which gives a very shiny finish. Think Armor-All, except for plastic. There's enough oil in PX to make small scratches "disappear". But let it dry, and watch the scratches come running right back.

I've applied this to my GF's Grand Cherokee, my taillights, my cluster bezel lens, and even badly-scratched CDs. The results fall far from satisfactory after the application dried (+3 days).

Wetsanding is a proven method, and I've heard good things about the Novus 3 step. I'd quickly do either before resorting to PX on plastics that need a true polish.

I also used it on my scratched to hell PSP, which was about 2 months ago. The PSP still looks like its brand new.

I might have to go buy a bottle of this stuff. So it works good on the headlights and does it work well on the plastic under the front winshield? Mine is looking a little worn
