The paint under the molding will probably look a bit fresher then the surrounding paint, esp being black. But after a good detailing, and some sun it shouldnt be as noticeable (I'd do a small section as a test to see. And dont just look at it close up, walk away and see it from multiple angles. Sunlight does some weird things.)

As for the procedure, its been covered many a time. Not tryin to be a search ****, but look around some of those threads about it. Then if you have anything specific - ask away.

guitar string, floss, fishing line, heat up the side molding than take the string and use a saw like motion until it's off.

All I did was peal the molding off first. Then took a heat gun to the tape and used some Goo-Gone to get the rest of the residue off. You have to use some elbow grease to get some of the residue or tape off. Overall it was pretty simple to do.

i took some floss and used it to "saw" the molding off, then pulled the molding off. After that i just clay barred (SP?) to get the rest off, looks great now...

just do it on a warmer day and you wont need to use a heat gun

I didn't use the floss/fishing line, I just grabbed an edge and pulled the molding off. I used some GooGone (citrus base) and the rest of the adhesive came right off. It took about 20 minutes from start to finish.

I just used my thumb and slowly peeled it back... minimal residue and paint was safe (sore thumbs afterward though)

Shouldnt. If you dont like that idea, go get some adhesive remover from AutoZone thats safe for automotive finishes.
