It would look a lot better if it had a matching custom interior.
Hell, at least it has a V8.

there is no 'small block' 400. ESPECIALLY not a small block chevy. if the add is correct, its a 1975 pontiac 400. ALL pontiac V8s were made from the same block. 350, 400, 455, etc. i dont think its a scam. as far as i know, for emissions anyway, cars are rated as to the year of the engine, not the car. thats why carroll shelby was making 'new' 1966-7? cobras with 427s. they were from leftover 60s era blocks. even though everything else was brand new, made in 2000 or whenever, theyre registered as 1966(7 or whatever) cobras. he could have made a typo in the listing as well.

he says its a clone of a super duty.....pontiac made ONE 'super duty 455' in 2003 or so, dont remember the exact year. it was made to look like the 73/74 super dutys...dual opening front grill, blue on white, with the same kind of spoiler as the 73s, down to the same angle. this one isnt exactly like the one made a few years ago. that car was in HPP, with a completely different nose and rear.

this looks like a nice car, nice project, and a shitload of work when into it. from the pics at least, it looks quality, and definetely something different. id buy it if i wanted yet another toy.

whats the point in buying a car you cant smog? i thought the whole country was like this but maybe its only here in California. Here, the engine you're installing has to be the same year or newer than the car you're puting it in. So a 1998 firebird could only have engines manufactured in 98 or since. i dont think 1975 came after 1998 but i could be wrong!! I agree, if youre going to do something then do it. leaving the interior like that makes it look half-assed even iff there was extensive and thorough work done to it

yeah the year of the car depends on the year it was manufactured.. not the year of the engine you put in.... if that was the case... you would have all the US putting old engines in newer cars so they wouldnt have to be smogged...

I've got two 400 small block chevys. That is a pontiac 400 in that car though. Makes perfect sense to me to have a pontiac motor in a pontiac. I think the seller did a pretty good job on putting the car together, judging by the photos. They gave it a paint job that resembles the 69 Trans Ams and the prototype Trans Am that Pontiac released a while back.

That car has been on sale before on ebay. I think is a sick looking car. Would like to see any power numbers on that engine/trans combination.
