Default suncoast creations diff than WS6 hood

is it just me or does the factory ws6 hood have a bigger, more rounded opening than suncoast creations. trying to decide on which company to buy a hood from. i've seen a few cheap looking hoods that have square type openings on ebay. (pic attached) also anyone heard of VFN WS9 hoods? if so where can i find some pics or a link?

it all depends on how the holes are cut, most aftermarket hoods you buy will NOT have the ram air holes already cut out, I am sure you can get them cut out to look like factory openings.....

I am not sure about the size of the openings but if you go with the suncoast you need to get their airbox too because the route the air travels is different from stock design. I have a raptor hood from them and love it just because you don't see that look much.

Actually VFN cuts their holes and gives you the factory grills. It is the most accurate OEM replacement on the market. IMO

Check the link in my sig for pics and comments on VFN hoods

suncoast is goofy lookin, not only in the nostril openings but all the way up the hood. The nostrils aren't nearly as smooth as on the real thing. Look at the middle flat line of the hood and how it flows into the nostrils on either side. YUK! I would stay FAR away from it

Yah, the Suncoast Creations hoods aren't top-notch in execution of design.

The openings are rectangular and look funny if you paint the hood any color other than black. Also, like said above you have to buy their Airbox to make it functional and it does throw off the lines of the car.

Back in 99, Suncoast was the only hood I could find in the aftermarket. But now there are so many better choices.
The SCC hood on my previous T/A:
You can see the rectangular nasty looking inlets here

and how high the hood comes up to the cowl is a bit too much. SCC did it that way incase you ordered the hood with the optional heat extractor vents.

Wow a lot of haters. I for one love my suncoast hood. Yea the nostrils arent cut the same (suncoast is rectangular) which bugged me at first but its grown on me and I actually like it. The selling point on the suncoast for me was that the cowls are higher than stock WS6s giving it a subtle more aggressive look, which I love yet its not TOO much bigger where it looks rediculous like some of the other hoods I've seen. I get lots of compliments from other bird owners saying my car looks meaner but they dont know why
