Default Black colored dual trunk lid

I've seen few non black colored camaros (mainly its the pewter colored ones) with the exterior trunk lid painted black with a stripe running through under the spoiler. Does anyone know if that is a vinyl sticker or are they actually painted ? Thanks

I'm not a Camaro guy, but I believe its termed the "Berger Mod"

Painting is the usual method.

Basically, it was just an appearance upgrade for the Berger camaros and since most people think it looks good they do the same thing to their cars.

I'm sure they were influenced by the big block First Gen SSs that had the blacked out tail panel.

And the Berger mod definitely adds some flavor to the back end of our cars.
