Default Polishing Question

When you sand, do you go in the same direction for all the grits. Or do you go in a different direction for each grit. Or do you do a circular motion? Thanks for any help. I'm trying to find the best way to sand these aluminum parts.

You go in different directions....for every grit...constantly.

Switch directions about every 3-5 seconds. It's tedious, but you'll actually work through each grit quicker and use up less paper than if you go in just one direction.

About the only thing sanding in a circle will accomplish over sanding in a straight line is to wear you out faster.
