red film on gauges
have any of you guys ever ventured to taking out the red film that is behind the stock gauges to get them to shine through white... im going to be doing some gagues and i want them to shine white instead of red.... or for that fact if anyone knows the proper way to take off the needles so that i will be able to put them back and have them work correctly... any help appreciated thanks...

You cannot "take out" the red film. It is "dyed" into the back of the gauges. Acetone will take it off, along with the black background and numbers, so don't do it. If you want to use different colored bulbs (other than red LEDS), then I suggest buying a Camaro cluster, or indiglo gauges. More information on that and removing the needles can be found in abundance if you search.
