HIDs or black halo's with silverstars?

HIDs or black halo's with silverstars? Help me out....which would you do?
I like the black halo look, but the halo isn't very bright, so really I am just paying for a black headlight housing. Should I go with the black halo's and silverstar ultra bulbs or leave the stock headlights in and go with the LEDgauges.com single beam HIDs and maybe do the whistler mod?
They both end up being around $250-260
