Default Rusty Rotors...best way to clean up?

Well I have these pretty wheels and rusty rotors which I want to get cleaned up. What is the best solution to getting these looking better besides replacing the rotors? I am thinking of a brush wheel attached to a cordless drill and then paint them up but again...any advice would be great. Thanks

sand them....then use some caliper cleaner...it breaks down corrision pretty well and wont hurt anything....then just paint them

Haha I guess I should have been more explicit in my post. I am referring to the center of the disc. I'll sand them and paint them silver. Hopefully it won't look like crap. Do all discs do this or are there others I could buy in the future that will hold up better?

Thats what you'll have to do, I did the same the rust would drive me crazy. I got caliper paint from autozone, and used brake kleener + wire brush/sandpaper. Make sure you clean them very well and use many light coats, I had to redo mine because I used like 3 heavy coats and they rusted back over on some spots (the paint didnt chip though).

Look at the middle part of the rotor. Is this what you are referring too?

When I swap winter/summer rims on my Grand Prix (former), I always sand and spray paint the rotors and shocks... (twice a year)... I use Aluminum Silver Rust-o-leum...

If you stay ahead of it, the rust never gets too bad.

You can see a piece of the hub in this picture...

Not the best pic, but the best I can do right now.....

cool, I have some caliper paint left so I'll just use that and give them a sanding. I didn't imagine this to be hard but sometimes its good to get a little reassurance before you go ahead and do something.

Thanks guys.
