Default parking under the sun&tree sap question

okay so when i park at school i always avoid trees for fear of sap. but its tempting because its the only spot on the lot that provides shade! what a dillema! i live in san diego by the way, so its extremely SUNNY! especially when my class is at NOON! (F*CK! right?)
my question is:
where would you rather park? (under the tree or away)
does tree sap really screw things up?how soon and how to remove it?
can u please provide me w/ tips on parking under the sun?(dash shade, car cover, etc.)
THANKS

dude the only way to avoid the sun without using the trees is to get a car cover and i dont think you're gonna want to put a car cover over your car everytime you go to class

I get the small speckles all over the car sometimes from trees that I didn't even know could produce such a thing. I never had a problem getting it off though, it just came off the next time I washed the car, even if it was a week later.

You're forgetting the one reason why most of us avoid trees though. It's not the sap...its the damn birds!

I use regular dish soap to get it off. You may take off some of the wax, but thats the fun part after a wash is to wax the hell out of it!

I have a "cover king" car cover, it was expensive as hell but because of work it sometimes has to cover my car for 2-3 months at a time. It's never left any scratches or anything. I got the most expensive 1 they make though so I'm not sure I'd leave it on in a parking lot, I can't see too many people stealing a custom cut car cover but if someone did steal it that would certainly suck!

It all comes down to how well you like to keep the condition of your ride. It may look silly but in the end you are the winner. Your suppose to be early for your classes anyways (well myn), so I guess thats a good incentive to getting you out the door.

if you put the cover on a dirty car, it will scratch it no matter how good fo a cover it is

using dish soap as part of a regular wash routine is not good at all. It will not remove some of the wax, it will remove all of the wax, and will also cause some long term damage.

occasional use, while I don't recommend it, is considered safe by some, but continued use is bad. period.

If you use Zaino dishsoap will not remove it, it will dull the finish but will not take it off. Dish soap has a very high alkaline content and that is why it cleans so well. But its pretty harsh as some have said.

Exactly... another reason mine works fine, since I clean it up to the best of my ability before putting it on, but that it would absolutely suck for daily use.
and I'd never use dish soap on my car
