what is a good cleaner to get rid of old stains in the carpet?

i like to use a combination blue coral foam and shout....it got out heavy coffee stains out of my dads f250 that were there for over a year...shoot, it got out the dirtiness of a cigarette burn in his carpet...dont be afraid to use a bit of it.....together, they work like magic...literally, took the carpet from looking like junkyard material to looking brand new
