Shouldn't be much I paid $120 for them to remove tint from sides and hatch and to redo the tint.

Stripping the tint is no big deal and you can do it yourself. All you need to do is get a scrapping blade and peel back a corner of the tint. Grab it and pull it off slowly. "IF" it comes off in one pc it will leave behind the adhesive. Spray that down with 409 cleaner and it will disssovle it and you can scrap it off easily. If the tint comes off in peices, just peel off what you can and keep spraying with 409 and using the razor blade. 409 is the key.

I use to work at a tint shop many years ago and that is what we used.

Good luck and save some money.

Good advice. Could you offer some advice for removing tint off of rear windows that have defrosters? What if it comes off in little pieces?

Sorry to get back to you so late.

Well, if it comes off in pieces then you will just have to work at it and around the defroster lines. Becarfull to not scrap or cut the line. If you do they make repair kits. 409 will not hurt it.
