Mine lines up very nicely but I have heard and seen the VFN 4" sit a little high at the tips by the windshield. Is this the sunoco? I know it's possible to adjust the corners but as far as the middle of the hood I'm not so sure. Have you given it time to settle down to a resting point? At least a month?

Yeah man give it time and it should settle. It's best to leave it on the car during that month of it curing.

Got any pics?

are you asking is it good or are you stating that it is good

if you're asking a question then yes it is. VFN recommends that you let the hood cure for at least a month before painting it.

I doubt curing will change those gaps... I personally would go to a better body guy.

It is possible you will need to make the holes on the hinges slightly larger to let it sit lower, nothing a competent body guy wouldn't do, without needing to be asked, though...

Also, on the front... Can't you just turn the rubber bump stops on the front corners down some or are they already all the way down?

I would get that sucker lined up perfect BEFORE it started to cure. I wouldn't want it to cure imperfectly...

you need to notch out your hood hinges and put your hood bumpers all the way down. Then its all a matter of aligning it. You may need to make one side high and one side lwo in order for it to fit right. It takes a while to get it, but it will eventually look perfectly fine. Just work at it, or take it to a body guy who actually knows what he is doing. Aligning that hood should be chicken scratch for a REAL body guy.

the distances from the hood to the fenders, and front bumper are not that bad, its the parts that are sticking up that need to be fixed. I would do what ^^^^ he said, go to a better body guy

well being as i already paid the man before i picked it up the first time i just took it back and he said he would make it good so.........wish me luck i will inform him though about notching out the hood hinges and bumpers all the way down thanks for the advice....als omaybe this is the reason why it looked the way it didi he diodn see the instruction ( that came with the hood) laying in the pass floor board so he didnt read anyhting he just tried to fit it up so that might be the reason it looked like it did, plus he's a good body guy but i guess everyone has there days.......like i said wish me luck.(or my car luck.... anyways)
