I've seen it done before but can't find a write-up on the best/easiest way to do it. I've heard of wetsanding then using plastic polish to smooth it back out. Is this the best way? I don't wanna end up with a bunch of swirls at the end and I don't have access to a PC. Details please

I wetsanded mine, with 400 and 600 grit. Sprayed some sandable primer on it, sanded it until it was completely smooth. Painted with black GM code paint, clear coat and Bam I was done. I've done it four or five times now. I have an extra one laying around.

Just wetsand it, even if you get some swirl marks after sanding the primer should cover them up and then when you paint it you wont even see them.
