Question Shortening the length of the stock A4 Automatic Shifter????

Wondering if anyone has done this in their camaro. I think it would look cleaner with the **** closer to the gate. thanks and post pics if you have any

i shortened my trans am auto **** and it looks wayyyy better. it sticks out so high stock, looks like you could churn butter with it! i'll get pics in a sec.

Are there any aftermarket ***** you can put on that make it look, not so.. bleh? My leather is starting to fade on it... the only thing in the car that is fading.. bleh

I think the MKIV Supra auto **** is perfect for our cars. I got a hold of one and am going to have to custom fit it somehow. I just like how they look.

Did you reinstall that little clip shaped like a U? And how did you cut the metal without hitting the white plastic on the inside of it?

Very carefully and strategically

I used a small cutting wheel and dremel and cut it exactly how it looked like before. Except an inch shorter.

That would be too low. The plastic shaft inside the metal piece is only so short and if you cut it that low there wouldn't be anything to cut. You'd be cutting a spring. Because you only have about an inch and a half to cut before you hit the end of the plastic shaft and cut a spring. You'll see what I'm talking about when you get there.
