Unhappy I just used leather conditioner on my seats and it shriveled like a prune! Any help?

First off I never used any wipes since owning this car due to the pleather being in immaculate condition with very minimal creases on drivers side, I put my son in the back seat one time without the baby seat not knowing he had a diaper full of **** so I needed some leather wipes asap so the Z dosnt end up smelling like an alley corner so i get black magic leather wipes/conditioner and day(s) later I think it dosnt shine very well and looks dry even thought I used more than enough. I go to Wal-mart to get some armorall wipes/conditioner and it shines well and has a good look to it few days later it starts looking more dry and I take a good look and the seats are shriveling up like a prune in certain spots! Whats the best product to keep it good because the pleather is getting soft and weak because of one of these faulty wipes. I know this car well and its one of these products that messed the leather up, i first went with black magic because I like how they make the tires shine and I noticed how the new lineup of armorall seems like a clone of black magic. Dont know which product caused this, avoid these 2.

I've used Lexol and Meguiars spray lots of times and haven't had any problems with them. I spray it on the towel first and then wipe.

I don't know what could have happened to yours leather????? Did you read the instructions?

I would get a leather cleaner first and get all that Armor All crap off the seats. Let it dry good then try Lexol on a towel like he stated above. Thats what I use as well and I like the results.

it's real leather, not pleather. armor-all was a big mistake. Get some leather cleaner first & then use a leather conditioner. Meguires has some cool leather conditioner that comes out as a foam.

I use the tropi-care cleaner first, then follow up with their conditioner. It's the best stuff I found so far and leaves a nice smell when your finished.

i have some armor all gel stuff for leather. looks like somebody shot their load on the seats when you put it on but it works REALLY well. The tops of the back seats were kinda hard and shriveled until i used this stuff. Then it started to soften up and smooth out. good stuff. Comes in a Brown Bottle that kinda looks like a upside down ketchup bottle

I have only used Zaino Z-9 (Leather Soft Spray Cleaner) and Z-10 (Leather in a Bottle). I have not compared it to other products, nor will I anytime soon. I have enough bottles of both to last me for years, and I really like the stuff. Makes my car smell awesome, and seems to do a good job maintaining the leather.

Armor-all makes leather conditioning wipes. They work very well. Lexol makes them as well i believe.

** edit- I'll have to try that method BSF.
