Default Got my chrome "346" cowl emblems in...

I wanted to put emblems like this on my cowl:

The only problem is they are $15 per number so I would spend $90 to get everything I needed. Not a big deal for a nice piece BUT I've already had emblems stolen from my car once and don't feel safe putting $90 worth just on my hood...

SO, I found these for 1/9th the price:

They are a chromed plastic, held on with 3M tape. I will be putting them on the sides of my cowl (after it's painted)...

I'm debating on keeping them all chrome, getting them in black or red chrome, or getting them painted (black with a chrome outline or vice versa)...

What do you guys think?

It'd look amazing to tape off maybe 1/16 - 1/8" worth of the edge and paint the inside NBM like your car or black. Or put an colored outline around 'em in the same color.

Red just contrasts way too much for me, even with the 2nd gen emblem you've got (least it looks like a 2nd gen) thats enough for a 3rd color IMO (well, 4 if you count the gray wheels lol)

For those of you who have the emblem from SLP it is the same material and similar size... Here's a comparison pic:

NBM paint is a good idea... I might do the black.

My rims are factory Z06 rims (forgot the year but they are the lighter Magnessium ones)...

I sent you a PM DemonBird

My advice: I would follow the scheme of the Z28 Badges you have on the sides of your car. I can't tell what they look like from the signature but if its all chrome, go all chrome. If it's black on the inside with chrome outline, then go black on the inside etc etc.

Yeah but I paid under $10 shipped for ALL of these where as I couldn't buy ONE of the old school emblems for that price...

To answer all the PM's they came from ebay... Saw them doing a search one night.
