Changing the halo color on ebay projectors?
Has anyone tried changing the halo color on headlights like these?
I checked out evilbadz's writeup in the "Hall of Fame", but does the same theory apply to these? They look like the same kind of halo setup, with LEDs doing the lighting, but I'm a complete noob when it comes to lighting and would hate to waste the time and money. My ideal headlights are these with blue halos and an 8000k HID kit

The ring on those are CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent), not LED. To change the color, you need to replace the ring with one that lights a different color.

That's what I was worried about I'm thinking I might just pick up a set anyway and see what I can do with them. I wouldn't mind painting the halo itself if that's what it comes down to, but I see a few kits out there for other cars with blue CCFL halos. So it's just a matter of finding the right size and color CCFL rings and replacing them.
