The first one took about 3 hours total but as I do each caliper it gets a little quicker. The backs I did this afternoon about an hour each. I just dremel the high spots then use 220 , 400, 800, and 1000 grit. They are alot shinier in person almost like chrome and its polished by hand with luster lace. I tried using the dremel but the attachments are to small. Theres also no clearcoat I was thinking about trying it but ill see how this holds up first. Thanks for the replys.

Looks good. I don't think clear coat is needed IMO. My polished calipers hold up pretty well. Just make sure to wash them the best you can when you wash your wheels. During the winter they can get pretty bad but thats what happens when you get to drive in those elements. When nice weather rolls around I'll re-polish the calipers...only takes a few minutes at that point.

I've had my polished calipers with chromed brackets on for over 2 years now with no clear and they're perfect. All you have to do is wipe or take a bit of polish to them and they're good to go.

just like you polish anything else.

200-400-600-800-1000-1500-2000 grit sandpaper and put some polish.

They both look great! What grit did you last sand with? I stopped at a 1000,
mine look better than the pics I posted but I think I have to play around with my camera a little more to get the shine to show up. Thanks, Joe

Here is the link both Zymosis and I used...http://formula.bambeezer.com/calipers.htm
I went up to at least 1200grit maybe higher. Either way, I plan on going at it again to get a shine like his.

How many times did you polish yours for. I only did mine by hand but everytime I polished them (about 4 times) they came out shinier with each polishing. I only went up to a 1000 grit also.
