I read in a detaling book that clear coat scratches will appear white. Most likely, the top coat, (clear coat) has been scratched. I tried to apply that Do-it-Yourself paint kit crap because I had the same white scratch on my fender, it works like crap. I immediately took that **** off. Try Scratch X and buff it out. Oh yea, I used 3M's Wax and Mark remover and it lessened the scratch's color a little bit.

They will most likely come out with some rubbing compound. After rubbing them out makd sure you polish it and wax it to protect it from further damaage

Some Meguiars Diamond Cut compound and a wool pad...buff em right out. They don't look too bad.

i missed a whole panal after i had layed the wax down last week and then it started to poor rain so i ended up forgetting about the wax i left on there, this week when i went to wash it it looked like someone backed into the whole side of my car and rubbed white paint on it and i was pissed. then i realised it was wax lol... really had nothing to do with this thread i just wanted to get it off my chest....

rubbing compound can most likely take that out, good luck man

Yeah, go with some rubbing compound then a nice wax. If that doesnt work, those can definately be wet sanded out. I did that on my Z's bumber when I picked up a nasty scratch. I came out really great, although you should read up on wet sanding before trying it...

hopefully it will come out easy. I had to wet sand on my black T/A to get some key marks out and that was a bitch. Hopefully the rubbing compound will work out for ya. Let us know how it goes

I don't know how aggresive the turtle stuff is but usually you have to follow a compound with a finishing polish to bring out the shine again. So did you remove the scratch?

Did you wax after the rubbing compound? You will have to wax it then use a polish to get the result you want. The rubbing compound alone will leave the finish dull. There are many brands who sell the 3 step kit.

you really need a PC and orange or yellow pad. Check out the Tropicare website.
