? on removing stock grill
(1998 Z28)
I thought I heard someone say you have to break off clips to take the grill off. Is this true? Would I be able to remove the grill and put it back on with out buying new parts?

you dont HAVE to break the clips, just pull hard, have someone cross their fingers for you, and hope the clips dont break. if they do im sure you could super glue them back on if you wanna put the grille back on. but some people break em on accident, some are successful. 50/50 shot.

If you take your time with it you can get it off without breaking the clips, i didn't break any clips on mine.
But if you do decide to put it back on you will have to remove the front bumper to get the screws and clips back on.

Somebody needs to do a write up on this since it gets asked like once a month
Start on the left side. Pull in (toward the center of the car) and out. Go to the right side. Pull in and out again. Down and out from the top, up and out from the bottom.
They should all stay intact that way. I've taken ~10 stockers off like that without a single broken clip.

Yea, I started to take it off to day, as soon as I moved it a half inch I realized there is a ring worn in the paint all the way around the grill. Im gonna hafta leave it in until this winter when I get my hood painted.
