HIDs, question on bulbs.
ok, to my understanding the bulb for our fogs (camaros) are 894
well my friend has a 880 hid kit he will practically give me (brand new) and i wondered if it mattered thats its not the exacte same bulb? he said it will work fine.

i haven't even seen my fog lights so i don't know. But if you can get the kit cheap you could rig up a mounting bracket to hold the new bulb where the old bulb was. it would look BA.

ok, not to be rude. but your not answering my question.
im glad you are happy with your hid.
what you had to rig up is actually called a ballasts.
im asking if it matters if i put 880 instead of 894 will it be ok? or harness burn out? or am i being paranoid

880,881,893,894 all plug into the same housing.
The only difference is:
880 --- 27.5 Watt, straight connector
881 --- 27.5 Watt, right-angle connector
893 --- 35 Watt, straight connector
894 --- 35 Watt, right-angle connector
You may have an issue with the depth of the bulb in the housing and the amount of space behind the bulb or the length of the wires though. The stock bulbs for the Camaro have an angled connector. The HID capsule is also longer than the stock Camaro bulbs and burn hotter. Many people on here have had success with it although a few have had issues or raised concern. Test fit it and see how it goes.

I tried to help. I don't even have a Camaro. I'm only passing on what I do know and can remember.
I could go searching for the answer since there have been many threads on this topic.... but you can do that too.
If you can't find anything, let me know and I'll do some searching.
